When Summer hits we all look forward to warmer weather, sunnier days and excursions to the beach. There is nothing worse than waking from a beach snooze, with your face red raw from the sun …. Results to the rescue!
This month, Results Laser Clinic have tailored a Sun Rescue package of LED Light Therapy, Results Active Protect SPF 50 and Recovery Gel plus a Micro Oxygen Infusion Facial! Return from your Summer holiday fresh faced and rock your inner glowing goddess.
Ray Rays Go Away
Despite warnings from the professionals, sun kissed skin has long been the ‘must have’ to compliment our Summer wardrobes. As much as we yearn for a glowing complexion and enjoy the sun’s nourishing warmth, it can rapidly become harmful to our skin.
Whether it be ducking out for a quick walk, popping out for coffee, to frolics at the beach – exposure to UVA/UVB rays damages elastin fibres in the skin. Prolonged exposure leads to painful sunburns, dryness, pigmentation and premature ageing. A far cry from the bronzed goddess we hope to transform into!
3 Essential Steps To Rescue Your Skin After A Sunburn.
Our summer skin routine needs to focus on exfoliation, sun protection and hydration – after all, your face is the first thing we see. However, for those who aren’t quite in the routine, Results Laser Clinic have created a Sun Rescue facial package as a relief from the Australian sun.
Step 1 | Heal
LED Light Therapy
Your journey from lobster to Tash Oakley begins 24 to 48 hours post sunburn. After a cleanse, relax under the healing LED Light, while you reflect on your Summer skin sins. LED Light Therapy increases your skin’s ability to recover from a sunburn whilst calming and reducing the redness. Prolonged exposure to UVB/UVA rays slows collagen production and increases the appearances of fine lines. LED Light Therapy helps to rejuvenate as well as encourages collagen production and cellular repair.
Step 2 | Take Home Products
To maximise results from your LED Light Therapy, don’t leave your appointment without our Results Active Recovery Gel and Active Protect SPF 50+. For the next 2 weeks it is important to nourish your skin at home.
Active Recovery Gel 100ml
It’s rich combination of essential oils, lavender and polysaccharide, the perfect remedy for irritated and damaged skin.
Tip: Apply as a face mask twice daily to soothe and extract heat from the skin. Place recovery gel in the fridge for that extra cooling effect.
Active Protect SPF 50+ 100ml
The most important way to protect your skin from harmful UV rays is by wearing a high quality sunscreen. Results Active Protect SPF 50 has been reformulated to provide you with extra protection and avoid those dreaded sunglass marks. Focus on areas where the skin is particularly delicate such as the face, neck and chest.
Tip: “Mix our Active Protect with your favourite foundation for flawless coverage as well as added protection.”

There’s just time to start a programme of Laser Hair Removal and get through 3 sessions, before the Christmas on the beach, with a lay-off over January and touch ups, when the tan has died down toward the end of February. A ‘defo’ for smaller areas such as navel line, underarms & brazilian which don’t get so much sun time.

Summer’s coming, how do we feel about our stretchmarks?
Get in touch with us
Its official – Skin blemishes are a confidence crusher**
Stretchmarks can be a contributing factor in post-natal depression, at the very least many plan their wardrobe around covering them up.
Stretchmarks can happen to anyone
Stretchmarks can arrive with pregnancy, weight-gain, growth spurts, illness or steroid use. They can be accompanied by a feeling that appearance has been compromised and blown out of proportion by ‘cognitive distortion’ which is when the brain over-rides judgment, common sense making it appear worse than it really is!
A problem shared
There are powerful and inspiring #bodypositivemovements, which are helping to reduce the feeling of social isolation for those traumatised by the change in their bodies but there are some who will always find action more empowering than acceptance. That’s where Fractional RF Laser comes in.
Does it work?
Fractional RF Laser has been around since 2004 & is most effective for treatment of stretchmarks. It has been shown to have 50-75% improvement in appearance of stretch marks, after 6-10 treatments***.Actual results which have been achieved are shared below.
What is Fractional RF Laser?
A grid of micro-needles, penetrate the skin & heat the targeted area with radio frequency (RF) energy. This creates micro-wounds that stimulate the body’s natural healing process, encourage collagen production & regenerate healthy skin tissue. Treatment leaves behind a signature grid pattern of tiny marks which will heal over the next 7-10 days, and fade in around 2 weeks. Fractional RF Laser is often followed by a session of advanced LED light therapy to assist with healing & stimulating collagen production.
How much does it cost?
Treatment costs around $400 for an area approximately the size of an iphone.
Does it hurt?
It’s tolerable but the pain factor is worth it for the results!
Fractional RF Laser and many others treatments are performed by the highly trained therapists at Results Laser Clinic – Australia’s most trusted provider of laser, skin and Cosmetic Injectable treatments.

Is your skin bringing your selfie game down? Skin Needling for Acne scars
Get in touch with us
It’s official, acne is one of the most crushing blows to self-esteem. Studies have shown that people suffering from acne are up to 3 times more likely to suffer from depression than any other medical condition*.
Without descending deeper into depression, the fall out from acne is debatably worse – from red & brown ‘macular’ scars, which generally fade with time to boxcar & ice-pick scars which leave pitted, uneven skin. Skin Needling for Acne scars is a possible treatment option available at all of our clinics.
Good news, if your skin is making you retake more selfies than you are posting, there is a range of effective treatments to improve the appearance of scarring, also used for age lines & uneven skin texture. Skin Needling is becoming more & more popular for skin resurfacing but why?
What is Skin Needling?
Much spruiked as a rejuvenation & beauty treatments for celebs, Skin Needling can produce excellent results on acne scarring & age lines alike. Skin needling uses a pen, containing tiny surgical needles on a motorized head, used to lightly puncture the skin, breaking down scar tissue. This process stimulates the body’s natural healing processes including the production of new collagen. The result is a new, smoother skin surface.
The process is often followed with a short session of Advanced LED Light Therapy treatment to sooth & aid the healing process. Actual results that have been achieved with this process are shared below.
What is Skin Needling for Acne scars recovery time?
The treated area is covered with tiny punctures & scratches, which can leave it red. This usually fades within 24-48 hours. Anywhere between 4-6 treatments are usually required.
Clinical Skin Needling vs. Fractional RF Laser?
Everyone’s skin is different. Fractional RF Laser is very effective in treatment of pitted scarring & stretchmarks.
Skin Needling can produce excellent results on acne scarring & has four benefits over Fractional RF Laser.
- It is less painful, especially since numbing cream is applied to the skin prior to treatment.
- Recovery time is shorter & does not leave then trademark Fractional RF “grid stamp”, which takes 7-10 days to heal.
- Its is less expensive, around half the cost for a similar sized area.
- Skin Needling is also effective on those with darker skins.
