Wrinkle Treatment FAQ
Get in touch with us
Let’s take a look at Wrinkle Treatment FAQ.
Who will be performing the wrinkle reduction procedure?
A qualified Candela certified therapist from Results Laser hair removal Clinic will be performing the laser wrinkle treatment.
How long after the wrinkle laser treatment will I be able to resume my normal daily activites?
The amazing thing about the laser wrinkle treatment is that there is no downtime. Unlike ablative treatments such as fraxel or botox, light based laser treatments have all the benefits without the needed recovery time. Following the procedure, clients may experience slight redness and swelling on the area which subsides within a few hours. Clients can resume work and social activities immediately after the treatment and can also apply mineral makeup.
Why should I opt for a laser wrinkle treatment over botox?
The laser wrinkle treatment is a light based treatment, which unlike botox procedures, doesn’t inject botulism toxin in the skin. It stimulates the body’s natural collagen production by heating. Another major advantage of the laser wrinkle treatment is the collagen continues to be developed at the conclusion of the treatment series. Botox also can have complicated side effects such as numbing of the muscles which can make a client look like they have a permanent frown. Laser wrinkle treatment does not involve such side effects as it is a natural progressing treatment.
Is the laser wrinkle treatment a surgical procedure?
No, the laser wrinkle treatment is a non-invasive therapeutic treatment. Is it for this reason that there is no anaesthetic required, no downtime and no surgical risks.
Is the laser wrinkle reduction treatment safe?
Yes. The Candela ND:YAG technology is an FDA approved medical-grade technology which is leading worldwide. Protective eyewear is worn during the operation of the technology and a Candela certified therapist will be conducting the treatment. This will not only ensure that the treatment is safe but also effective. There are also no side effects associated with the treatment.

IPL or Laser Hair Removal?

GentleLASE and GentleYAG Laser Hair Removal or Intense Pulsed Light IPL Hair Removal System
GentleLASE, GentleYAG and Intense Pulsed Light hair removal treatments all emit light to cause thermal damage to the hair follicle. The technical differences between the technologies relate to the wavelength colours that are emitted with each laser pulse. The GentleLASE and GentleYAG laser hair removal systems emit a single concentrated light beam and the Palmar Starlux / Multilux IPL hair removal System includes a variety of coloured wavelengths that work simultaneously to target the specific area being treated.
Based on our experience in using all technologies
The GentleLASE and GentleYAG laser technologies operate at optimal wavelengths of light that is best absorbed by both the hair shaft and follicle while protecting the surface skin from heat damage. The GentleLASE has been shown to be a more successful laser hair removal method for permanent reduction of unwanted, unsightly hair. Unlike other laser hair removal tools, the GentleLASE laser system incorporates state of the art dynamic cooling device technology where cryogen is sprayed onto the skin, continuously cooling the skin during treatment. This proprietary feature helps to maximise the effectiveness of the treatment and decrease skin damage. At Results Laser Clinic Sydney CBD, Liverpool, Burwood, Ryde, Blacktown, Parramatta, Wollongong, Melbourne and Brisbane we use the GentleLASE and GentleYAG removal systems to ensure our clients are given the choice of two of the most efficient options available for light-based treatment of unwanted hair. One may be more suitable than the other based on the patient’s skin type, however, clinical studies have shown that in most cases a laser technology is more effective in the treatment of unwanted hair.

Post Treatment Advice
Get in touch with us
To ensure you have a safe, quick and permanent hair laser removal solution, this article provides post treatment advice and the steps to be taken after a laser hair removal treatment.
Immediately after laser hair removal treatment
The area has just been treated and will be sensitive, slightly red and swollen. This is a normal reaction to a laser hair removal treatment that will subside within 2- 12 hours. To aid in the soothing and healing of the skin, your laser hair removal therapist will apply a skin soothing gel. A hot shower within 24 hours of the conducted treatment is not advised and must not exceed a lukewarm temperature. As the sensitivity of the skin has also increased, strongly scented lotions or soaps, exfoliant creams and aggressing scrubbing should be avoided.
Post Treatment: Two to four weeks after laser hair removal treatment
Stubble will appear within 1-4 weeks of the hair removal treatment. This is not hair regrowth, rather, it is the treated hair being purged from the follicles. You must allow this hair to fall out of the skin on its own. Hairs that were in the rest phase at the treatment may enter the active phase in 1-6 months depending on the body. Follow-up treatment may be performed within 1-2 weeks of new hair growth. Keeping a mental note of these useful tips will not only ensure a great laser hair removal experience, but a newfound confidence and positive attitude about your appearance. Ingrown Hair
Get in touch with us
An ingrown hair problem can be overcome with laser hair removal! Ingrown hairs are one of the most bothersome and unsightly things on the body. Ingrown hairs can also be a painful hassle for both women and men.
What are ingrown hairs?
The razor bump condition is also medically termed pseudofolliculitis barbae. Development of ingrown hairs occur when they are broken off short with a sharp tip. Ingrown hairs can be cause by different types of hair removal methods. This includes the following:
- Depilatories- dissolve the hair using chemicals instead of it breaking or being pulled from the root. One of the least likely temporary hair removal methods to cause ingrown hair.
- Shaving- the hair is removed at or just below the skin with the blunt cut of the razor. Ingrown hair is most likely to be cause by this method.
- Tweezing- distortion of the hair follicle is caused as the tweezer pulls the hair from the root. The angle of growth is consequently improper, cause ingrown hair.
- Waxing- distortion of the hair growth also occurs as hair is pulled from the root.
- Electrolysis- a metal probe is inserted into the hair follicle, followed by a mild electronic current killing the hair. The results of this method are varying, but eliminates ingrown hair if successful.
- Laser Hair Removal- successful procedures destroy the hair follicles by using laser lights, permanently reducing hair growth.
While traditional techniques such as shaving and waxing remove unwanted hair temporarily, they lead to annoying rashes. Laser hair removal technology ensures that ingrown hairs are eliminated and skin has a smooth and flawless finish. How does the laser hair removal procedure work? Wavelengths of light energy are gently delivered to both the hair shaft and follicle in pulses, through a delicate, computer-controlled hand piece. Effectively, the source of the unwanted hair growth problem is targeted and treated, therefore allowing for permanent results.
